21. Finding Your Authentic Voice Through Writing with Rachel Dick
In this episode, I interview Rachel Dick. Rachel was a painfully shy child turned loudmouth nurse. Her journey has been about finding her voice and learning to share what she has to say with the world.
In 2021, after 9 years of bedside nursing, she became a nurse coach and began to shift her career in a more holistic direction. She suffered from back pain, pelvic pain, skin issues, and other chronic health issues for years, and was able to heal herself using yoga, breath work, mindset work, and other holistic modalities. Her passion lies in helping ambitious women express themselves, heal, solidify their identity, and live their most vibrant and fulfilled life.
She believes that everyone has something valuable to share, but sometimes we need help finding the words and sharing them. In addition to coaching clients 1:1 in her private practice, she has created a 16-week writing workshop for nurses together with a fellow nurse and bestselling author Tilda Shalof. Through this workshop, she opens up the collective throat chakra of the nursing world and helps nurses heal through writing and creative expression.
